Modern fire protection systems detect smoke and fire at the earliest possible stage in an emergency.
They are designed to automatically or manually alert building occupants to the danger of fire and evacuate the building.
Emergency Services will be advised that a fire has been detected and action taken to minimise the danger and to protect life.
This is the minimum requirement for building owners/occupiers to meet the requirements of the Fire Safety Order.
Shires Fire & Safety are qualified to advise and recommend the most appropriate system for each application. These systems consist of detection devices such as smoke detectors, heat detectors and manual call points, as well as audible alarm devices such as bells and electronic sounders.
The RRO directive mandates that regular bi-annual inspection, repair and maintenance of the fire alarm and emergency systems be completed by suitably qualified firms and technicians.
