Fire Safety Training
Employers have a responsibility to ensure employees and visitors know what to do in the event of a fire.
Shires Fire & Safety qualified fire safety trainers conduct regular fire training courses for employees of large and small organisations, either at the customer’s own premises or in convenient training facilities.

Shires Fire and Safety Training Course Training courses include:
- Standard fire safety awareness and action to be taken in the event of fire
- Advanced fire safety training, evacuation procedures and fire fighting
- Fire marshals’ course for those responsible for the safety of others
- Fire risk assessment course for managers responsible for site safety
- Fire safety management course for residential nursing and care homes
Basic Fire Awareness Training
Shires Fire & Safety Ltd, are offering the opportunity to take part in our on-site fire training course. For up to 12 delegates, we can provide a 2 hour course covering the theory of fire awareness, and practical use of extinguishers on a live fire.
This course gives all delegates knowledge and experience of how to safely respond to a live fire. At the end of the course, all delegates will complete a questionnaire; successful delegates will receive a certificate.
Courses are held at our Telford unit, in our on-site training room. We hold regular training days. So please call to book your required number of places.
Or we can arrange training sessions solely for your company, for a minimum of 6 people. (Alternatively, training can be held at your premises, call us for a quote).
Qualified Trainers
Every fire safety course is conducted by a qualified fire protection trainer. Instructors are often ex-fire brigade officers, vastly experienced in helping others to be aware and respond to the danger of fire. Courses cover both the theory and practical aspects of dealing with fire emergencies. Delegates get a practical hands-on demonstration and experience of fire fighting using various types of extinguisher under controlled conditions. All delegates are tested on the basic theory before the relevant certificate is issued at the end of the course.

Modern fire and safety training is conducted using chemical free equipment to avoid unnecessary pollution or damage to the environment.
Fire Safety Order compliant
Fire safety training courses are held on a customer’s premises or in Shires Fire & Safety’s own training facilities and are designed to be fully compliant with the new Fire Safety Order which stipulates that employers have a responsibility to provide adequate fire awareness and safety training for employees.
