Emergency Lighting and other Electrical Installations
Shires Fire & Safety electrical installation teams are fully qualified to install conventional and fully addressable fire alarm systems to BS 5839 Part 1 2002, emergency lighting systems to BS 5266, nurse call systems and access control systems.
All our electrical engineers are employed by Shires Fire & Safety and are audited on a regular basis to meet the BS EN 9001:2000 UKAS.

Emergency systems must be inspected at least every six months to satisfy the requirements of current legislation and British Standards. Insurance companies may insist on more frequent inspections as part of their own indemnity procedure. Electrical installations are completed to NICEIC standards and the appropriate British Standard. All our electrical engineers have BFPSA certification and are qualified to work on a wide range of fire alarm systems.
Our installations range from simple fire alarms to state of the art integrated systems including complex fire detection, alarms and suppression systems. Our engineers work with architects, insurers and local authorities to ensure the system required meets all the necessary standards.
